In the 1940s, my grandmother (Giuseppina Cattalanotto) immigrated to the states from Salemi, Sicily. After a while living in Boston's North End, they decided to settle down in Medford, Massachusetts. This summer, around 75 years later, she celebrated the dedication of the new and improved Medford Public Library with her family.

A huge thank you to Bloomberg Philanthropies, ProductionGlue, and the Berklee College of Music House Band for inviting me to the ceremony to perform as a Medford native. My family was so happy to be a part of this historic moment! ♥
